In the fall of 2006, we were contacted by Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist to inspect and present recommendations to the congregation for the restoration and enlargement of their pipe organ. The organ was built in 1974 by the Reuter Organ Company and contained 21 ranks of pipes.

We were honored to have been contracted by the church in early 2007 to rebuild this instrument with additions. With this restoration and enlargement, nine ranks of pipes will be added, and many pipes rescaled and re-voiced to provide a more elegant, refined sound for this 100 year old sanctuary. All pouches, primaries, tremolos and reservoirs will be removed for professional releathering. A new exposed chest will be constructed along with new casework and grill to perfectly match the existing.

A new three manual console with modern switching and control systems will be finished to blend in with the decor of the newly renovated sanctuary. This console features player sensitive tracker touch keyboards. The keys are bone with walnut sharps. The key cheeks, sharps and nameboard are all of American Walnut and simply but elagantly finished with Danish Oil for a rich, yet natural apperance.

The revoiced pipes reflect our philosophy of allowing pipes to speak with a full, elegant tone. By voicing the pipes in a natural, singing manner we are better able to provide an instrument that fufills its primary purpose of leading singing. Pipes voiced in a relaxed manner, and with open vowel sounds match perfectly with the human voice. In this manner, the instrument does not compete with the voice, but rather works with it to create a beautiful tone.
