We are proud to announce our selection to complete the releathering and restoration of the historic Aeolian-Skinner Organ Company Opus 1399 at The Cathedral of Saint Philip in Atlanta, Georgia.
We will complete the releathering program begun by Tommy McCook and Widener & McCook (nee' Widener & Company). We will complete the releathering of the instrument by restoring the Great, Positiv and Pedal organs, and tremulants of the organ. Our materials and techniques will reflect both modern organbuilding advances as well as time honored and proven techniques. Chrome tanned leather will be used for years of reliable service. Only replica or period Aeolian-Skinner parts will be used as necessary.
It is indeed an honor to work with the Cathedral staff to ensure the proper future of the Aeolian-Skinner organ, but as great an honor to have been chosen to continue the excellent history of the highest quality organ services as provided by Tommy McCook & Widener & McCook.
